OUTCOMES PER COURSE UNIT
At the end of the course unit students should be able to;
1. Demonstrate the ability to explore a topic of their own choosing in depth by means of independent research and
2. Develop a comprehensive literature review of the topic under investigation and write a comprehensive and logical evaluation of the salient aspects.- Lecturer: Isanka P Gamage
At the end of the course unit students should be able to;
1. understand the essence of strategy and appraise the different approaches and levels of strategy to construct effective models in strategy formulation,
2. analyse macro, meso and micro environments and appreciate the areas of uncertainty, incompleteness, ambiguity, contradictions and the limits of knowledge relating to strategy and its environment.
3. understand and appraise both intended and emergent approaches in strategy formulation, implementation and controlling of strategic initiatives
4. coordinate and integrate multi-functional intentions and processes into a holistic business model to achieve competitive advantage.
5. integrate the learnt content as to solve the inherited challenges exist in different industries and contexts in keeping with excellence of rationale decision making abilities and
practice the strategic approach in making decisions pertained to planning, execution and controlling excellence as a strategist in dynamic business environment.- Lecturer: Gayan Jayasinghe
At the end of the course unit students should be able to.
1. Define the right meaning of entrepreneurship amidst many different schools of thought,
2. Compare and contrast entrepreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship in order to understand its applicability to business graduate future career planning,
3. Recognize the applicability of entrepreneurial marketing instead of marketing for a new venture,
4. Identify the right process of creativity and innovation in the process of new venture creation,
5. Discuss the issues and challenges faced by Sri Lankan entrepreneurs throughout history and learn how to cope with those issues and challenges,
6. Identify the use of social networks by successful entrepreneurs and unsuccessful entrepreneurs which they use in collecting relevant resources and capabilities for a new venture and
7. Identify fundamental concepts related to entrepreneurial developments with their right meaning: organizational hierarchy, people skill, creativity, innovation, emotional intelligence, financial discipline, entrepreneurial marketing and corporate entrepreneurship.

1. Examine the steps of conducting a scientific investigation comprehensively,
2. Identify a re searchable issue to conduct a scientific investigation,
3. Develop a critical review of the literature to justify reasonable research question/argument,
4. Develop scales to measure the concepts and test their validity and reliability,
5. Develop a suitable research design to solve an identified research problem and
6. Produce a research proposal and final research report correctly highlighting the employed research design.At the end of the course unit students should be able to;
1. Identify and translate real-world business and operational problems into business analytics problems
2. Practice efficient business analytics strategies to solve business and operational problems
3. Understand, compare and contrast different business analytics techniques
4. Identify, evaluate, and capture business analytic opportunities that create values
5. Understand the current trend of business analytics and be aware of the ethical issues related to business analytics- Lecturer: Nilshan Perera
